Invitations
Invites creates links for new FixPortal accounts. It is available from the Admin section of the sidebar to an identity with the Operator capability or the PlatformAdmin role. Other signed-in users are returned to the Dashboard.
A valid invite provisions an isolated workspace for a sign-in that does not yet have an account. It does not add another workspace to an existing account or add a person to an existing workspace. For cross-workspace controls, use Tenant administration.
Create an invite
- Open Invites.
- Enter Email (optional) when the link must be redeemed by one Microsoft sign-in address. Leave it empty when anyone with the link may redeem it.
- Choose Expires: 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, or Never.
- Select Create & copy link and share the copied link through your approved channel.
FixPortal does not email an invite. The page copies the new link to the clipboard. Select Copy link beside a pending invite if you need it again.
The effective maximum validity is 365 days. The interface's Never option requests a longer period, but the server caps it at 365 days.
Choose the invite type
An email-locked invitation can be redeemed only by a Microsoft sign-in with that address. Address comparison ignores case and surrounding spaces. A link with no email address can be redeemed by any sign-in, so share it only with the intended recipient.
Every invite is single-use. Once redeemed, it cannot be used again or reassigned.
Redeem an invite
The recipient opens the full /invite/... link in the browser tab they will use to sign in. The page saves the code through the Microsoft sign-in redirect, then redeems it after sign-in and opens the new workspace.
An already signed-in, unprovisioned user can paste an invite code into the An invite is required screen and select Redeem. The sign-in email must match an email-locked invitation.
If the signed-in identity already has an account, opening an invite link returns it to the Dashboard. No new workspace is created and the invite remains unredeemed.
After redemption, start with Getting started, then create or open a session. Workspace-wide defaults are described in Global Settings.
Check status and withdraw an invite
The table shows the code, any locked email, status, and expiry or redemption information.
- Pending means the link can still be redeemed. Select Revoke, confirm with Yes, revoke, and the server removes it.
- Expired means the expiry time has passed. Select Remove to delete the unusable link.
- Redeemed shows who used the link when that address is available. Redeemed invitations cannot be withdrawn.
If the invitation is redeemed or removed between opening the page and selecting Revoke, the request reports that it is no longer available and refreshes the list.
Redeem errors
The invite cannot be used when the link is incomplete, unknown, expired, already redeemed, or locked to a different sign-in email. Ask the inviter for a new link in those cases.
A temporary redemption failure keeps the invite code available in the same browser tab and shows Try again. Do not request a replacement until the retry fails with a permanent invite error.
