FX dealing
Use the FX workspace to control how inbound FX orders are filled and allocated.
Configure FX handling
Open Global Settings from the sidebar. Changes on this page save when they are made.
- In FX execution mode, choose whether to auto-execute incoming FX orders. When enabled, the scheduler fills them using the session's Sim Config delay. When disabled, use the dealing ticket to fill each order.
- Choose whether to auto-allocate an order that arrives with pre-allocations. This sends its allocation after the fill. An order without pre-allocations always requires manual allocation.
- In Allocation accounts, add the account strings your allocation messages should use. You can remove an account that is no longer needed.
The FX execution options and allocation-account list apply across the workspace. Session-specific delay remains in Sim Config.
Inspect FX orders
Open Blotter In for a session. The FX tab appears when the session has FX orders and is selected first in that case.
Spot, forward, and NDF rows show the pair, side, notional, price, tenor, settlement date, and status. A swap has a parent row and separate near and far rows, each with its own side, quantity, settlement date, price, and fill state.
To work an order, right-click its parent row and open the FX dealing ticket.
Quote and execute
The ticket opens on Quote.
For a spot, forward, or NDF order, enter the mid and spread. The ticket calculates bid and offer prices, highlights the executable side for the order, and fills at that price when you select Fill at.
For a swap, enter a positive near price and far price, then select Execute swap. The ticket shows the two legs and calculated forward points before submission.
An FX order must still be working to execute it. The normal Blotter In lifecycle actions do not apply to FX orders; use the dealing ticket instead.
Allocate a filled order
After a successful execution, select Allocate. This tab is available only for a filled order that has not already been allocated.
The ticket lists configured allocation accounts. If the incoming order has pre-allocations, their quantities are shown for matching accounts. A pre-allocation that does not match a configured account remains visible as an unknown account so it can be reviewed.
- Enter positive quantities for the required accounts.
- Make the total exactly equal to the order's filled quantity.
- Select Send 35=J.
The simulator rejects an allocation with no account lines, a blank account, a non-positive quantity, or a total that does not match the filled quantity. It also rejects a second allocation for the same order.
Restrictions and recovery
The ticket updates from the live order feed. If another action fills, completes, or allocates the order first, reopen or refresh the ticket and work from its current state. A disconnected session cannot accept execution or allocation requests.
