Account and workspace
Open Account from the profile block at the bottom of the sidebar. This page manages the account that is signed in and its workspace. Reading the page requires session read access; saving changes and deleting the account require session write access.
Workspace model
An account has one workspace. In the standard invite flow, redeeming an invitation creates a separate workspace and account for the person who redeems it. Invitations do not add people to an existing workspace or provide workspace-membership management.
The workspace contains its FIX sessions and their configuration. Use Sessions to operate those sessions, and Global Settings for workspace-wide simulator behaviour.
Update your profile and workspace
The Profile card contains your editable Display name and the email address supplied by your Microsoft sign-in. The email address is read-only in FixPortal.
The Workspace card contains the editable Workspace name and its creation date.
- Change the display name, workspace name, or both.
- Select Save changes when it appears.
- Select Discard to return the fields to their saved values.
Both fields must contain a non-blank value and accept up to 200 characters. Saving persists the profile and workspace name. A failed save leaves the changes available to correct and submit again.
Choose a workspace name that makes its purpose clear to operators. It is a label for this workspace; it does not change a session's FIX identity.
Roles and access
The Role entry appears when the signed-in identity is an Operator. The application also recognises the PlatformAdmin role. Either service-operator capability can open Invites, Diagnostics, and session administration; the API enforces the same requirement.
Use Invitations to create or withdraw invite links. Platform administrators use Tenant administration for cross-workspace controls.
Sign out
The Sign-in card explains that Microsoft manages your email address and password. Select Sign out to end the current browser session.
Delete the account
Delete account… permanently removes the workspace and its tenant-owned data, including FIX sessions, dictionaries, settings, brokers, allocation accounts, ATDL files, usage records, and notifications. The simulator stops the workspace's running FIX sessions as part of this action. Your Microsoft sign-in is not deleted.
To continue, select Delete account…, type the exact current workspace name in Type the workspace name to confirm, then select Delete account. The action cannot be undone and signs you out after it succeeds.
If deletion fails, the dialog remains available with an error. Do not assume the workspace was deleted; retry or contact an operator.
