Global Settings
Global Settings applies to the current workspace. It does not create a separate profile for each session. The page can be read with session read access; changing a setting or an allocation account requires session write access.
There is no page-level Save button. Toggles and selections save when changed; the timeout field saves on leaving the field, and allocation accounts use Add and delete. Failed settings writes restore the previous value. The session-configuration section also displays save status and errors.
Session configuration
Remove orphaned overrides on save
An instrument override is keyed by SecurityIDSource and SecurityID. If a Sim Config edit removes a source that an existing override uses, that override becomes orphaned.
When Remove orphaned overrides on save is enabled, Sim Config stops the save and asks you to either drop the affected overrides or restore the removed sources. When it is disabled, Sim Config saves the source change and retains the affected overrides as stale entries.
Use this setting before changing Sim Config → Instrument identification. See Sim Config reference.
Allow order reactivation
When Allow order reactivation is enabled, the Blotter In context menu can reactivate cancelled, done-for-day, rejected, and expired orders. The setting is disabled by default. Turn it on only when the test scenario requires that venue behaviour.
See Blotters for the actions available for each order state.
Override precedence
An instrument override and a broker override can both set the same behaviour, probability, or timing field. Override precedence chooses which value wins:
- Instrument is the default and makes the instrument override win.
- Broker makes the broker override win.
Rules are applied after these overrides for a matching order. See Sim Config reference and Multi-broker routing.
Pending-route timeout
Pending-route timeout (seconds) accepts values from 1 through 3600. It applies only when a new order is parked for manual routing. If no operator selects Apply, Apply Auto, or Cancel before the timeout, the simulator applies the captured automatic routing decision.
The field saves when it loses focus. An empty or out-of-range value is restored to the saved value. See Multi-broker routing.
FX execution mode
Auto-execute incoming FX orders controls whether the scheduler fills incoming FX orders using the relevant Sim Config delay. When it is off, work each eligible FX order from the dealing ticket.
Auto-allocate after fill (when pre-allocations are present) sends an allocation message after an FX fill when the incoming order supplied allocations. FX orders without pre-allocations still require manual allocation.
See FX dealing for the dealing ticket and allocation workflow.
The FX controls have no separate save-error message. If a toggle returns to its previous value, reload the page to confirm the saved setting before sending an order.
Allocation accounts
Allocation accounts stores the account strings available to FX allocation messages. Select Add after entering a name. Names cannot be blank, cannot exceed 32 characters, and must be unique in the workspace. Select delete to remove an account.
Removing an account does not add it to an existing order or resolve unmatched pre-allocations. Confirm the account list before sending an allocation from the FX ticket.
Check that an added account appears in the list and a deleted account disappears. Add failures show an error below the form. Delete failures have no dedicated error message; if the account remains, reload the list and check your write access before retrying.
Limits and platform administration
The Global Settings page does not expose load-testing permission, inbound and outbound rate caps, or the daily outbound budget. Those controls are available only to a PlatformAdmin in Platform → Tenants. See Tenant administration.
This page also does not manage users, invitations, tenant membership, or tenant creation. Use Account and Invitations for the available account and invitation workflows.
